Legal bases

This section contains a selection of legislation relevant to DIBt's work. They have been compiled with care, but do not claim to be exhaustive. They are meant for information only.

Legal foundations of DIBt

The legal foundations of Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik (DIBt) are the Law relating to Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik of 22nd April 1993 (Berlin Gazette (Gesetz- und Verordnungsblatt für Berlin) p. 195) and the Agreement of the Federal Republic and  the Länder relating to DIBt which is an integral part of this law. These texts present the basis for the continuation of the Institut für Bautechnik (IfBt) founded in 1968 under its new name. The Agreement and the Statutes contain more details about DIBt's structure and responsibilities.
